That Heritage Permit Application HP039/15-42.20F for the demolition of the existing residence and construction of a new residence, as attached in Appendix B to the report dated September 24, 2015 from Planning Services, be approved subject to final details on the windows, doors, colours and exterior cladding material being submitted to Heritage Planning staff for final approval; 2. That this heritage permit expire two years from the date of final approval by Council; and 3. That the demolition permit shall not be issued until a building permit application has been received for construction of the new dwelling.

That consideration of this item be

That the property at 1187 Burnhamthorpe Road East be removed from the Oakville of Properties of Cultural Heritage Value or Interest subject to the following conditions by the property owner: a. allowing for the salvage of materials from the house prior to its demolition; b. entering into a heritage easement agreement with the town (prior to the issuance of a building permit for the demolition of the house) for the purpose of producing a historical plaque that will be installed on the property to explain its historic associations; and c. submitting a letter of credit in the amount of $10,000 to the satisfaction of the town’s Senior Manager of Current Planning and Heritage, prior to the commencement of the salvage work in order to ensure the protection of the materials being salvaged as well as the creation and installation of the historical plaque; and 2. That the heritage easement agreement be executed in accordance with By-law 2013-057.
