That the report dated August 29, 2017 from the Finance Department entitled Spring 2017 Flood Damage Claim be received; 2. That Council approve the following resolution: “ Whereas the municipality of the Corporation of the Town of Oakville recently experienced an excessive amount of rainfall and subsequent flooding and damage along the Lake Ontario shoreline in late April and early May of 2017 and has experienced incremental operating and capital costs, the council of the Corporation of the Town of Oakville hereby requests the Minister of Municipal Affairs and Housing to activate the Municipal Disaster Recovery Assistance (MDRA) program. Further that Ray Green, CAO is given delegated authority to verify and attest to the accuracy of the claim.” 3. That staff report back on the estimated financial impacts once the full claim has been finalized.
