Heritage Oakville Advisory Committee

That the minutes of the Heritage Oakville Advisory Committee meeting of July 28, 2026, approved.

That, pursuant to subsection 30.1(3) of the Ontario Heritage Act, a Notice of Intention to Amend By-law 1993-055 be issued for the property municipally known as 288 Maple Grove Drive, in relation to the proposed amendments to By-law 1993-055 under subsection 30.1(2) of the Ontario Heritage Act.

That notice be issued under section 29 of the Ontario Heritage Act of the intention to designate the commemorative structure at Meadowridge Park at 3160 Meadowridge Drive.

1. That Heritage Permit Application HP028/26-42.20T for work undertaken without prior approval at 65 Thomas Street, as attached in Appendix E to the report dated August 11, 2026 from the Planning and Development Department, be approved subject to the following conditions: a. That the aluminum soffit and fascia be removed, and that the wood soffit and fascia be restored or replaced in-kind with wood, where replacement is required; b. That the wood trim beneath the roofline be retained, restored, and painted as necessary; c. That the 18 wood windows removed and replaced with vinyl windows be replaced with wood windows; d. That the remaining vinyl replacement windows be replaced with aluminum-clad wood windows where permitted on side or rear elevations; e. That final details for all wood and aluminum-clad wood replacement windows be approved by Staff; f. That the completed hardscaping alterations be approved, except for the additional parking area on the south part of the property, which shall be removed and reworked to generally match the previous driveway footprint in that location; g. That the brick cladding underway on the north elevation be approved, subject to product information being approved by Staff; h.
